nine-hole par 36 Resort Course, designed by renowned
golf course architect Peter Harradine, is situated
within the idyllic grounds of the Jebel Ali Hotel
& Golf Resort, with the clubhouse based at Club
Joumana overlooking the marina and the first tee.
The
Resort Course is both scenically stunning and a fair
and exciting challenge to any level of player. Each
hole is unique, with exotic trees and shrubs, wooden
gazebos, panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf, and
the company of peacocks, guinea fowl and partridges
which freely roam the course.

The
Jebel Ali Hotel & Golf Resort Challenge Match
is the name of the annual curtain-raiser for the European
tour event, The Dubai Desert Classic. The Challenge
Match includes six of the world's top golf stars competing
in the Desert Classic and is a draw for three teams
of two players. The nine-hole greensomes match takes
place in February / March each year and has included
the following world-renowned players: Justin Leonard,
Mark O'Meara, Colin Montgomerie, Lee Westwood, Paul
Lawrie, José Maria Olazabal, Seve Ballesteros,
Nick Faldo, Greg Norman, Ian Woosnam and Ernie Els.
